"WEST PAPUAN OPM MILITARY COMMANDER KELLY KWALIK IS NOW THE TARGET OF A INDONESIAN/UNITED STATES CONSPIRACY OVER 2002 TIMIKA SHOOTING IN WEST PAPUA INDONESIAN AUTHORITIES NOW HAVE THE EXCUSE TO CONTINUE COMMITTING GENOCIDE INSIDE WEST PAPUA IN THE PURSUIT OF KELLY KWALIK - USA AUTHORITIES DO NOT APPEAR TO CARE LESS!”The West Papua New Guinea NatIonal Congress (WPNGNC) fully supports the OPM Military Commander Mr Kelly Kwalik who has recently become the prime target of a manufactured conspiracy between Indonesian and United States authorities. Mr Kelly Kwalik has explained to the WPNGNC that he and the OPM had nothing to do with the 2002 shooting of USA citizens at Timika in 2002. Mr Kelly Kwalik has also stated that the OPM have been on "stand down" from military operations in West Papua since 2000. This information was passed to the FBI investigators by the WPNGNC in early 2005. Also Patsy Spier whose husband was killed in the Timika shooting and one of the main drivers of this investigation was similarly informed by the WPNGNC in 2005. It appears that this information was ignored by all parties involved. So much for the word of the OPM and the WPNGNC!
Eight West Papuans were recently arrested and are being held by Indonesian authorities regarding this incident. But this is not enough blood - the Indonesian/United States authorities now want four more West Papuans and Kelly Kwalik! It is clear to the WPNGNC that Kelly Kwalik and other West Papuans are the victims of a manufactured conspiracy between Indonesian and United States authorities and Patsy Spier has been used in our view. It is also possible that some of those arrested may also be victims of this conspiracy. According to a media report a Catholic priest and two children are among the eight arrested so far.
"The WPNGNC holds grave fears for the eight West Papuans arrested. We ask the United Nations and prominant non-government humanitarian organisations and others of good will to visit these prisoners; otherwise Indonesian authorities will torture them with all kind of mind altering methods. Torture is normal in Indonesia," Mathew Mayer the WPNGNC Australian Spokesperson said.
"I was a victim of Indonesian torture. Hundreds of my fellow OPM fighters were killed by various methods of Indonesian torture. It was deliberate murder. One method I was subjected to was strangulation by hanging. Another method I was subject to was hot knives placed near my eyes. I was fortunate to escape the prison and rejoin the OPM fighters. It is likely now that Indonesian authorities would have access to mind altering drugs to also use. Torture is normal in Indonesia," Mathew said.
"Indonesia authorities now have the situation that they planned to create; that is a reason to commit and continue the state sponsored process of genocide against the native indigenious West Papuans under the cover of chasing Kelly Kwalik and the other four West Papuans all over West Papua. Their allies the United States doesn't appear to care less if all the native indigenious West Papuans are wiped out. This makes a mockery of George Bush's state of the union speech when he said that the USA supports freedom and democracy around the world ," Mathew said.
"In the name of chasing Kelly Kwalik the Indonesian authorities will now destroy hundreds of villages, kill or steal all the animals, destroy or steal all the crops and stored food, terrorise/murder the villagers and drive them into the forrests and mountains where they will die from lack of medical provisions and food and water provisions etc. This has been going on for decades. Because West Papua is sealed off from the world no one sees the genocide and no one seems to care. I am a witness to this situation. If the Indonesian Government has nothing to hide then why has West Papua been a prison for over forty years. If they say there is no genocide then why is West Papua closed off from the rest of the world," Mathew said.
"For many years the WPNGNC has politically advised the OPM not to attack the Freeport Mine. As a consequence of this conspiracy upon the OPM and its Military Commander Kelly Kwalik and other West Papuans; the WPNGNC advice regarding the Freeport Mine may not be followed by the OPM, " Mathew Mayer concluded.All who are captured by the Indonesian authorities will give torture induced statements to incrimminate the OPM in the Timika 2002 shooting when the real culprits are the Indonesian Military who committed this crime to warn the giant Freeport Mine to continue paying the lucrative protection money that was threatened in 2002 when United States company disclosure laws forced Freeport to make public the protection money paid to the TNI. This caused an outcry from shareholders and various USA authorities and threatened the protection money payments. The OPM has been made a scape goat.
