The WPNGNC renews its warning issued in a press release, of 30 October 2001, that the PDP, Papua Dewan Presidium, also known as the Presidium Council or Presidium, is an Indonesian Front and a Fake Indonesian organization.

"INDONESIAN TRAP FOR WEST PAPUAN PEOPLE"
The West Papua New Guinea National Congress (WPNGNC) with its dedication to defending and preserving the Native People of West Papua; has witnesses and proof that the Papua Dewan Presidium (PDP) has acted since its inception in 1997 in West Papua to work as a counterfeit West Papuan Organization mainly through the PDP leadership who are loyal to Indonesian Authorities. The WPNGNC believes that a relatively small group of native West Papuan people in the PDP leadership, Jayapura academics, overseas academics and their supporters are working for the implementation of the Indonesian program in West Papua using stealth, betrayal and deception. The Indonesian aim is to use this small group especially the PDP leadership to divide, deceive and confuse the native People of West Papua (where communication is limited and controlled) their supporters and the International Community at large by the extensive use of counterfeits, stealth, deception and misinformation as their weapons.
Since 1997, the WPNGNC has evidence that large numbers; possibly thousands of Patriotic native West Papuans supporting self determination and independence for West Papua have "disappeared" (Indonesian code for murdered) at the hands of Indonesian authorities working with the PDP leadership to uncover such people. Since the inception of the PDP in 1997 in West Papua the PDP leadership have supported autonomy for the West Papuan People on the pretext that this is the initial step leading to or prior to achieving independence for the West Papuan People. The PDP leadership have signed and supported a number of various pro-autonomy agreements with the Indonesian Authorities to this effect in recent years. On this basis pro self determination and pro independence native West Papuans have supported the PDP with large numbers of them "disappearing". The WPNGNC has witnesses and proof to this occurring.
This year support for the PDP has largely evaporated (the WPNGNC has witnesses and documents of proof) and the PDP leadership for the first time since inception has changed their position from supporting autonomy to supporting independence for West Papua. The WPNGNC is aware that the PDP has no support for autonomy in West Papua any more so the PDP have changed their position in order to continue their work with Indonesian Authorities to trap and eliminate more native West Papuan patriots who genuinely support self determination and independence for West Papua. The WPNGNC suspects that planned judicial trials of PDP leaders are part of a planned Indonesian deception to further deceive all parties. This move coincides with current deceptive propaganda being spread throughout West Papua that the WPNGNC leaders are now in a Papua New Guinea jail in Port Moresby. No WPNGNC leaders are in any jail anywhere! These deceptions are designed to continue to lead patriotic native West Papuans into this Indonesian/PDP trap.
The WPNGNC therefore issues a solemn warning to the native People of West Papua and others to be aware of this latest deception and trap and therefore not to trust the PDP leadership who no longer have a gram of legitimate authority in West Papua. May God protect West Papua and her People. Long Live West Papua!
